"O, wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world,
That has such people in't."
Welcome to William Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST, the second production of the 2020-2021 Trevecca Theatre season in the Department of Communication Studies at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee!
THE TEMPEST is considered one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays, a swan song to his thundering career as a world-shaking playwright. And we're glad you're joining us for Trevecca Theatre’s audio drama production of this masterpiece.
The lure of the poet’s pen now transports us once more, wherever we are, to its fabled, uncharted island somewhere off the coast of Naples, along with its unwary band of shipwrecked mainlanders. From there, our brilliant cast of student voice actors and sound production team of alumni and students lead us through that magical journey—a story of revenge, family, and forgiveness.
Admission is free with a $5 recommended donation. Please be sure to locate the simple digital program here as well for an overview of the cast and team.
Gather your friends and family, and share with them the joy of listening to this unique, early Christmas gift! Performances run from now until December 21!
And now, let's listen, together apart! . . .
"Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not."
